CSR Programme – Neighbour Care Patrol

On 26 September 2025, our enthusiastic team of volunteers participated in the CSR programme – Neighbour Care Patrol, organized by the Loving Heart Multi-Services Center. This meaningful initiative was dedicated to supporting vulnerable and isolated seniors within the Jurong East community.

Our volunteers were divided into small groups, with each covering approximately 20–25 home units. Our mission was to observe, identify, and report any signs of distress or potential hazards within the assigned areas- ensuring the safety and well-being of our elderly neighbours.

The experience was both heartwarming and inspiring, reminding us of the importance of community care and our shared responsibility to look out for one another.  It also gave our team a wonderful opportunity to reconnect outside work and strengthen our bonds through a shared purpose.

Together, through our compassion, commitment and teamwork, we made a meaningful difference in the lives of others!

As part of our unwavering commitment to social responsibility and community support, Chemical Industries (Far East) Limited (CIL) and Chemical Industries (Myanmar) Limited (CIML) carried out earthquake relief donations in Naypyitaw and Mandalay on 7–8 May 2025. With a total donation value of MMK 19.2 million, CIL contributed MMK 18.96 million and CIML staff added MMK 229,288. Support was provided to 50 affected households in Pyinmana and Lelway through cash and essential supplies such as medical kits, sanitary items, food, gas stoves, solar lights, and bedding.

On 8 May, the team donated 5 metric tons of Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) to the Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC) to aid clean water production for earthquake victims. The donation was formally received and acknowledged by MCDC, and the team visited their water treatment facility. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis and promoting public health through responsible chemical contributions.

CSR Event at Willing Hearts

Despite the fast-paced nature of the kitchen environment, our employees demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and dedication. This experience highlighted the power of teamwork and the importance of giving back, reinforcing the core values of compassion and service that CIL upholds. We are proud of our team’s commitment to making a positive difference and look forward to supporting more initiatives like this in the future.
